These Boots are Made for Katie

Last week I was in Texas for work (here's a little video about the project). And for one hot second of the trip I was in Austin (less than 24 hours). OF course we made a quick pit stop at the famous Allens Boots. 

If you want boots, this is the place to find them. They have every color, leather, price point... It's cowboy boot heaven. And of course you can't take this girl into a shoe store without finding at least ten one pair I want. 

Ariat and Pendleton got together in a little collaboration to make the Caldera Boots. And they make this Idaho girl swoon, hard core. 

I mustered up every little bit of self control in my body to not bring these home with me since I've bought a few things lately (posts to come) and am on a spending freeze. Thankfully (or not, as I'll have to see them and remember they're not mine), my colleague bought them so someone gets to enjoy these beauties. Enjoy MCL. I've got major boot envy. 

Regan's Birthday Wish List

Katie and I have a birthday coming up, September 22nd to be exact. My husband laughs when I tell him I have a birthday wish list, but I do. I always have a "wish list", and my birthday provides the perfect opportunity to check a few things off!

Here's what my list currently looks like.

I've been wanting a pair of short rubber rain boots, and these are just what I have been looking for. I had my eyes on the short Hunter boots, but I think I like the style of these (and the price) much better., and I really like the color.

We all know I spend a lot of time in workout pants. My friend Katie has these pants, and I need them.

As someone who has their Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, may I take a moment to tell you that these are just pants, and there is no scientific evidence to prove that a pair of yoga pants can actually do all those things. I could go into detail, but I won't!

We will be in Sun Valley next week and a trip to Consign Design is inevitable. Chances are I will find a birthday present there and this list will be good as gone! 

Towel Off

I spend a lot of time at the local water fountain here in Portland. We have a small collection of random beach towels, but nothing too fancy. My friend Meaghan showed up a few weeks ago to our fountain "date" with a gorgeous Pendleton beach towel. I've been dreaming about it ever since. And then, last week my brother-in-law showed up at my house with not just one but two.

I took that as a sign that I need to upgrade my beach towels to Pendleton.

I just can't decide which ones. There are so many amazing patterns to choose from.

The towels are available at a number of websites including Pendleton, Made in Oregon, Urban Outfitters  and on Amazon. I'm adding them to my birthday wish list. 

Friday Gift Guide - Katie's Wish List

Last Friday Regan gave us her Christmas wish list. This week, it's my turn. Dr. B Friends and family take note. Despite this being my wish list, hopefully it will inspire any last minute shopping you need to do. 8 shopping days left until Christmas Eve! To honor those days, here are 8 things (in no particular order), I lust for...I had to stop somewhere or this post could be pretty long. So let's get to it.

Wool capes are the thing of the season, and I've been looking for one that is different and makes a bit of a statement. This Pendleton Striped Blanket Cape does just that...and I'm a sucker for stripes...and it's on sale for $98.00!

I've always loved pointy flats, and the J-Crew Viv Flats in topiary are beyond. Enough said. (Size 10, thanks.)

My black wool coat was retired last year and needs to be replaced. I wouldn't protest this Burberry Funnel Neck wool coat as a replacement. Dr. B has a thing for Emma Watson and she's a Burberry spokesmodel...so this makes total sense in my mind.

Because you can never have too many pairs of sunnies, these Chelsea House of Harlows would be right at home on my face - in nude or black...I'm not picky. 

Earlier this year I met the girls from DANNIJO, and not only are they impressive, but their jewelry is AMAZEBALLS! And this Wiig cuff...come on, the bows...do I even need to explain to you why Santa needs to bring this to me (My Elf on the Shelf knows I've been good)?!

Stripes and dots. I love them. Commando Polka Dot tights are kind of like a party on your legs. Who wouldn't want that?

I love my arm party, and I'm always looking to add to it. This Giles and Brother Archer Bangle is simple and timeless.

And last, but not least, coming in at number 8, the Patagonia Women's Down Sweater Vest. I'm an Idaho girl at heart, and just like all clothes, you can never have too many down coats or vests!

Cardigan Wednesday

So it's not really a cardigan, but it's still pretty fabulous. And, the big surprise is that it's from Pendleton Woolen Mills (a local Portland company).
