It's hard to believe it, but I have been writing this blog for SEVEN years! WOW? Where has the time gone?
Seven years ago I was still working for Nike and we led a dog free, child free life, so I had some extra time on my hands. My friend Meredith had a blog. She was the first "blogger" I knew, and she helped me learn how to write a post, how to embed content, how to add a widget, etc. My other dear friend Sara helped create a logo, and that was that.
I wish I could say the look of the blog has changed, but it's the same. If Katie and I had the time to dedicate to it, we would move to a different platform, we would re-design the site to make it beautiful and more user friendly....but we don't. So we keep posting, and we hope you keep following.
I wish I could say that I will keep writing for another 7 years, but it could be 7 months or 7 days. I can't put a date on it. Writing this blog is a labor of love. And when people tell me they read the blog, that I inspire their purchases, that they feel comforted by the "Keeping it Real" posts or that they follow a travel recommendation, it makes it all worth while. So thank you. Thank you for reading. Thank you for keeping us going.
Happy Birthday C&C! It's been a good 7 years!

Regan's Birthday Wish List
Katie and I have a birthday coming up, September 22nd to be exact. My husband laughs when I tell him I have a birthday wish list, but I do. I always have a "wish list", and my birthday provides the perfect opportunity to check a few things off!
Here's what my list currently looks like.
I've been wanting a pair of short rubber rain boots, and these are just what I have been looking for. I had my eyes on the short Hunter boots, but I think I like the style of these (and the price) much better., and I really like the color.
We all know I spend a lot of time in workout pants. My friend Katie has these pants, and I need them.
Vimmia Compression Stirrup Legging $127
As a side note, the product description lists the benefits of compression fabric as: increased blood circulation and skin elasticity, reducing cellulite and signs of skin aging, improved blood flow and oxygenation to muscles and tissues during your workout, increased recovery speed after workout or exertion, less wasted energy, less cramping, and greater running/workout efficiency, and reduced vibration that occurs as a muscle is flexed or experiences impact.
As someone who has their Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology, may I take a moment to tell you that these are just pants, and there is no scientific evidence to prove that a pair of yoga pants can actually do all those things. I could go into detail, but I won't!
And then a few things on my list that I have already shared with you in previous posts....

We will be in Sun Valley next week and a trip to Consign Design is inevitable. Chances are I will find a birthday present there and this list will be good as gone!

Currently Coveting
My Birthday is coming up in less than a week, and as always my wish list is packed full. Here are the things I am currently coveting for the big 33!
Clearly I have blue handbags on my mind...
Clearly I have blue handbags on my mind...
And a few things that are not handbags in the shade of blue...
Let's be honest, I don't NEED anything. I have more than most people dream of, but it's always good to have a wish list.

Four Years of Fashion- Cardigan Wednesday
Today marks the fourth anniversary of Cardigans & Couture! Wow! Where has the time gone? It is hard for me to believe that I have been writing this blog five days a week (and sometimes more) for four whole years! Just the other day I was thinking...what if we just stopped blogging (it is a lot of work)? Would people miss reading C&C on a daily basis? I am hoping the answer is "yes".
For the last two years, Katie has joined me on this blogging adventure, and while I am sure I could do it without her, it wouldn't be half as much fun. Despite being on opposite sides of the country, it's just another thing that brings us closer together. That may seem silly, but it's the truth.
For many years, every Wednesday on C&C was "Cardigan Wednesday", a tribute to the name of the blog. In recent years we have changed up the content and gone away from that Wednesday tradition. So, in honor of C&C's fourth birthday, I am deeming today "Cardigan Wednesday"!
Since summer is quickly approaching, and both Katie and I love stripes, and navy and white, I thought this would be the perfect cardigan to share.
The French Connection Cotton Dream Cardigan would be the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe!
For those of you who have been following C&C from the very beginning, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your comments, emails, Facebook posts, etc. are what make this labor of love all worth while!
