Jumping In

Well, I did it...I finally purchased a jumpsuit. It's currently en route to Sun Valley where I will be next week! I'm certain my +1 will totally hate it. He's not a fan of the jumpsuit or rompers, but if I like it, I'll keep it.

Who dresses for men anyway?

In other news, C&C is taking a one week blogging hiatus, but you can still follow us on Instagram (CardiCouture). Katie and I will be spending the next week in Sun Valley with our family. We hope you enjoy your 4th of July holiday, and we will be back on the 6th with some vacation recaps, Consign Design finds and more fun and inspiring content!

Four Years of Fashion- Cardigan Wednesday

Today marks the fourth anniversary of Cardigans & Couture! Wow! Where has the time gone? It is hard for me to believe that I have been writing this blog five days a week (and sometimes more) for four whole years! Just the other day I was thinking...what if we just stopped blogging (it is a lot of work)? Would people miss reading C&C on a daily basis? I am hoping the answer is "yes".

For the last two years, Katie has joined me on this blogging adventure, and while I am sure I could do it without her, it wouldn't be half as much fun. Despite being on opposite sides of the country, it's just another thing that brings us closer together. That may seem silly, but it's the truth.

For many years, every Wednesday on C&C was "Cardigan Wednesday", a tribute to the name of the blog. In recent years we have changed up the content and gone away from that Wednesday tradition. So, in honor of C&C's fourth birthday, I am deeming today "Cardigan Wednesday"!

Since summer is quickly approaching, and both Katie and I love stripes, and navy and white, I thought this would be the perfect cardigan to share.

The French Connection Cotton Dream Cardigan would be the perfect addition to my summer wardrobe!

For those of you who have been following C&C from the very beginning, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your comments, emails, Facebook posts, etc. are what make this labor of love all worth while!

Garnet Hill: these are a few of my favorite things

Knowing my love for stripes (especially navy and white), a friend posted this swimsuit from Garnet Hill on my Facebook page. So cute, right? And the stripes are vertical down the back! They clearly know what looks good on women.

I hadn't been on the Garnet Hill site in a long time. From fashion to bedding, to home decor - they've got it all! Here a few other things I'd put in my shopping cart.

Marseilles Knit Jacket

Palm Springs Block Pillow Cover

Printed Canvas Storage Bin

St. Charles Mercury Glass Table Lamp

Trellis Porcelain Jar

French Stripe Jersey-Knit Bedding

Everyday Printed Percale Bedding

What I Wore to Work - Navy and White

I'm back with "What I Wore to Work." Sorry I've been MIA with these posts lately. I'll try to get back in the swing of things. Navy and white is one of my favorite combos - for clothes, the home, you name it! And with the weather turning quickly to summer here in D.C., this navy and white pair was light, yet professional for a day at the office.

Theory sleeveless shell | Anthropologie blazer | Zara wide leg pants| J. Crew blue and gold necklace | Cole Haan wedges

Here are a few other navy and whites pairings I love.

I Couldn't Resist

If you are like me, you receive a handful of emails each day offering you discounted prices (+ free shipping) on sites like Gap, Piperlime, Asos (pronounced a-sauce...if you didn't already know), etc. Usually I just delete them, but this morning when I saw the Asos "sale" email pop up, I couldn't resist checking it out.

I have been lusting after this dress for months, and it is currently on sale (+free shipping) for $34.02. How could I possibly not buy it. Now I just have to figure out how to explain the need for this to my very fiscally conservative husband. Why did I have to marry a financial advisor????

Now I can't wait for it to arrive!

Splurge vs. Save

You know how much Katie loves navy and white stripes...I am sure she would love this Derek Lam striped tunic dress but not for $795.

Asos to the rescue.

I think this striped knit dress is even cuter, and it is on sale for $53.72. I am so, so tempted to make the purchase!
