My Favorite Jeans

Do you have a favorite pair of jeans? The ones that you wear nearly everyday despite there being a handful (or more) of other pairs in your closet?

For me, that pair is the Paige Verdugo ankle. I LOVE these jeans. They have the perfect rise, the perfect amount of stretch, fit snugly through the thighs, knees and ankles and they don't stretch out too much with wear. I wear them year round...with flats and sandals in the summer and with boots and booties in the winter.

They are described as "An ultra skinny style with a mid rise that is fitted through the hip and thigh with a skinny leg opening."

I got my first pair, in Nottingham, from Lyon + Post a number of years ago and recently purchased them in Hayes as well.

In keeping with my my savvy shopper ways (read about them here if you haven't already), I got my most recent pair on ebay, new with tags, for half the price.

I'm on the hunt for a pair in black (shadow) now too!

What I Wore

On Wednesday I introduced you to blogger Beth and her blog Seersucker + Saddles (see blog post here). Her style is fantastic, inspiring and enviable!

This outfit I found particularly inspirational!

Given that I have every basic component of this outfit, I thought I would give it a try. So here is what I wore, as inspired by Beth! 

Cole Haan rain jacket, Banana Republic black blazer, orange striped H&M shirt, J Crew animal print belt (from Katie for Christmas), Paige straight leg jeans, and Tory Burch quilted flats. 

The stripes and animal print combination could be my new favorite! What do you think?

Walking Summer Sunshine

Remember back in April when I wrote about the new T.J. Maxx opening just blocks from my office in D.C? Thanks to a gift card from T.J. Maxx, the one thing I came away with was a pair of yellow Paige jeans (they are my go-to for all skinny jeans). Oddly enough I haven't worn them until recently. But now I've got a tight window before summer is over to put them to good use and these bright summer sunshine pants are a new favorite. Here are two ways I recently styled them.
