Consign Design

I spent two weeks in Sun Valley over the holidays, and as all of you know, a trip to Sun Valley is not complete without a visit to Consign Design. As usual, it was a designer gold mine.

There were two INCREDIBLE Victoria Beckham dresses, and my friend SB took one home with her. Doesn't she look incredible in that dress? Hello barre3 booty! And, she only paid $85 for it (the dress that is. The booty...well, that takes more time, money and hard work)!

There were so many other things I wanted to take home with me.
1) bronze chain link necklace ($85) 2) Tortoise patent Christian Louboutin heels ($145)...I wish I could have squeezed my 38.5 size feet into these 36.5 shoes. 3) Dolce Vita animal print booties
4) DVF printed blouse

I passed up a pair of fabulous Kate Spade black suede platform pumps and some cute studded Steve Madden smoking slippers as well.

But worry not, I didn't leave empty handed....I came home with this amazing jacket. If you can't quite see the label, its a D&G (Dolce and Gabbana) Lambskin black leather jacket, and it's FABULOUS. It's the softest most amazing leather.

What is even more incredible was the $195 price tag. The Mini Fashionista bought it for me as a Christmas gift (i.e. she signed the credit card receipt). Wasn't that generous of her? I can't wait to wear it, so stay tuned for a "What I Wore" post soon.

Le Tote-Part Deux

My second "tote" from Le Tote was a much bigger success than the first. I actually wore all three items of clothing.

Two of the items were by Splendid and basically the same style, and while I liked both of them, I think Splendid is way overpriced. I digress... Say hello to Laverne.

And Shirley.

The third is this jacket from Willow & Clay. I liked the idea of it, but the button at the bottom was a little weird.

I didn't get a photo of the Laverne top, but I did wear the Shirley top and the blazer to our "family interview" to the French American International School, where we hope to send Sydney next year. And of course I topped it off with my new chain link necklace from Ily Couture. In case you missed the post, check it out here

I should have worn different boots....anyway...I am looking forward to my third tote sometime next week. I'm hopeful that I will want to purchase at least one thing from these totes before my two month subscription is over.

Splurge vs. Save

You know we love anything "Chain link" here at C&C. Our obsession started with the Angela Caputi bracelets, and now it has moved to necklaces. We love the Angela Caputi necklace (post here), and I have been coveting a larger version from Diana Broussard for months now. Remember when I first saw it on RHWNYC, and a reader helped me track it down (post here).

Unfortunately, the $250+ price tag made the Diana Broussard version unrealistic. The price seems a bit ridiculous for resin. When I saw this photo of blogger Beth of Seersucker and Saddles, I was hopeful she had found an equally as large but less expensive version. I mean...she's wearing two of them. That must make them affordable, right?

Right! You can get these amazing acrylic necklaces from Ily Couture in 5 colors, including the white for only $34. It's almost too good to be true!

With a price that good, why not buy two or three or all five? I placed an order last week when they were offering %40 off!
