Smudgetikka

I try not to talk too much about baby and kids stuff, but I know some of our readers are moms, like me, so every now and again I think it is fun to add some content for the little people.

A few months ago I came across a blog called Smudgetikka, a kids fashion blog posted by Linda McLean, a professional in children’s fashion who once worked with adults but finds the little ones so much more fun. This blog brings you the hottest designer labels and the strongest trends in kidswear fashion. Even if you can't buy or afford the designers she features, you can still use her posts as a source of inspiration.

Check out some photos from her recent blog posts!

Bullseye Boutique Beauties

Yesterday I blogged about the fantastic Merona Eireen Wedge I bought at Target (a.k.a Bullseye Boutique). While I was there,  I saw a lot of really fun summer shoes at great prices. Here are just a few of the pairs I could have added to my shopping cart.

This cute wedge was also $24.99 and would be perfect for my Mexico vacations. Unfortunately they don't seem to be available online as I looked and couldn't find them.

The Merona Mali loafer comes in a number of patterns and colors and is only $19.99. The pink and turquoise were my favorite.

The Merona Makaila boat shoe is a budget friendly alternative to Sperry Topsiders. They come in both gold and navy and are on clearance online for only $21.24.

I thought of my friend Amy L when I saw these fun rain booties, as she has a similar pair. I'm not quite ready to think about rain boots yet, as summer has just begun in Portland, but come fall I would definitely wear theses. They would be perfect for coming and going from the Barre3 studio.

Merona Zlota Rain Bootie $29.99

Lastly, I saw these adorable sandals on blogger Sarah of Workday.Weekend. Unfortunately they didn't have them in my local Target, and they are not available online, so if anyone can track down this sandal in an 8.5, let me know!

Kids Dressed Better Than You

I found this blog called "Kids Dressed Better Than You." I swoon at the clothes and wish 1) that I looked that good on a daily basis and 2) that the Mini Fashionista had a closet full of chic baby clothes like this. That said, should a child really be dressed like an adult? You have your whole life to wear blazers and boots and button down shirts.

Here are a few of the photos...

Can I get all of these outfits in my size? LOVE!

So stinking chic I can't stand it!

 Layering at its best!

Now this is how to wear a cardigan and a button down shirt!

If her first handbag is Chanel, what on earth will she "wish for" as an adult?

This baby is clearly the most approachable of them all, but the jeans are surely premium denim!

Feature Friday- Look Linger Love

Look Linger Love is one of those blogs that I happened upon in a round about sort of way, so much so that I couldn't even say how I found it. Regardless, I am glad I did. It's my kind of blog as it chronicles Chassity's life as a wife, momma, and lover of stylish things (I can relate).

However, I don't look nearly this chic on a daily basis! LOVE her dress!

And, check out her little girl Lilly! ADORABLE! She and the mini fashionista could be fast friends!

Feature Friday- Tulip Louise

Thanks to Glitter Guide for introducing me to Anna of Tulip Louise. Anna does everything from personal styling to wedding and event planning.

The name “Tulip Louise” was born her final semester of college when she was required to create a detailed business plan for a hypothetical boutique, and the name stuck!

Love it!

It's Clutch

In last week's Glitter Guide they covered a story on Erin Hiemstra, the Glitter Girl behind the lifestyle blog Apartment 34, and a shopping soiree she hosted at Madewell to preview some of their fall collection.

This image immediately caught my eye as I am a sucker for animal prints and black + white. How fantastic is this calf hair telegram clutch. I am definitely adding this to my Pinterest Wish List

Feature Friday- The Blonde Salad

I haven't decided if it is a good or a bad thing that I discovered the blog The Blonde Salad. Chiara is a young and beautiful Italian whose collection of shoes, clothes and handbags is enviable, to say the least (the good). My jealousy is at its peak....(the bad).

If you are already familiar with her blog I won't be surprised as she gets nearly 90,000 hits a day!

Feature Friday-Hillary Maybery

It's my opinion (and I know I am right on this one) that there is no day when fashion is more important than on your wedding day. I wore Monique Lhuillier...and probably never will again, unless you count the times I put on my dress just to be sure it still fits. Maybe the Mini Fashionista will want to wear it someday...as if!

Anyway, once you have the perfect dress, shoes and accessories you MUST have someone equally as fabulous to capture the moment, enter Hillary Maybery! Hillary is a fantastically talented photographer from my hometown Sun Valley, Idaho. She does an amazing job of capturing every detail of a wedding, from the dress to the decor and the late night dancing.

Hillary also shoots family/baby sessions, and a Mini Session for my Mini Fashionista is at the top of my "I want" list ...even before my coveted Chanel 2.55 handbag. She's THAT Fabulous! Check out these photos of her adorable little girl Presly. I must get to Sun Valley to get my little Mini a mini-sesh ASAP!

For anyone looking for a wedding photographer, check out Hillary's blog and website. You will quickly fall head over heels for her, just like you did for your groom! P.S. Katie, C&C's other half, will gladly plan her someday wedding around Hillary's schedule.
