Consign Design

I spent two weeks in Sun Valley over the holidays, and as all of you know, a trip to Sun Valley is not complete without a visit to Consign Design. As usual, it was a designer gold mine.

There were two INCREDIBLE Victoria Beckham dresses, and my friend SB took one home with her. Doesn't she look incredible in that dress? Hello barre3 booty! And, she only paid $85 for it (the dress that is. The booty...well, that takes more time, money and hard work)!

There were so many other things I wanted to take home with me.
1) bronze chain link necklace ($85) 2) Tortoise patent Christian Louboutin heels ($145)...I wish I could have squeezed my 38.5 size feet into these 36.5 shoes. 3) Dolce Vita animal print booties
4) DVF printed blouse

I passed up a pair of fabulous Kate Spade black suede platform pumps and some cute studded Steve Madden smoking slippers as well.

But worry not, I didn't leave empty handed....I came home with this amazing jacket. If you can't quite see the label, its a D&G (Dolce and Gabbana) Lambskin black leather jacket, and it's FABULOUS. It's the softest most amazing leather.

What is even more incredible was the $195 price tag. The Mini Fashionista bought it for me as a Christmas gift (i.e. she signed the credit card receipt). Wasn't that generous of her? I can't wait to wear it, so stay tuned for a "What I Wore" post soon.

From Red Soles to Red Lips

Women's Wear Daily reported last week that shoe designer extraordinaire Christian Louboutin is venturing into beauty! Partnering with New York-based Batallure Beauty LLC, the Paris-based designer of some of the world's most coveted shoes and handbags will be launching a beauty line by the end of 2013. Now that is red lip stick I am certain to buy.

And since over a year seems like a long time for its release, I thought I'd remind you just how amazing Louboutin is...and if this new line is anything like his shoes, it will be well worth the wait.

Splurge v. Save

I know we're moving into fall, but I just couldn't help but share this amazing find with you. A while ago while wasting time browsing on Pinterest (if you aren't familiar with it, check out this post), I came across this AMAZING pair of Louboutins.

Christian Louboutin Praia Platform Wedge

And since I didn't have $535 under my mattress to spend on a pair of wedges, I "pinned" them on my Imelda Marcos shoe board and not my reality-based Wish List board. And shed a tear (not really, but you get the point). Last week when I was wasting time browsing on Facebook, I was checking out the engagement photos of elementary school friend and C & C reader, and she was wearing a painstakingly similar pair to the coveted Louboutins! So of course I immediately "liked" her photo (she looked darling in said shoes) and asked, "Where in the world did you get these wedges?" Voila! May I present to you the $38.00 option in two amazing colors. Did I mention they're comfortable too. Now if we didn't have to wait 8 months for Summer.

Caroline's Wish List

Caroline's mom swears her 1st full sentence was "wanna go wannie's. wanna shop." Growing up outside of Philadelphia , that meant she wanted to go to John Wanamaker's, a big Philadelphia department store. I think it is safe to say her love of shopping developed at an early age.

Along with her Wish List, Caroline also offered her words of wisdom when it comes to style, "Get great basics, go big and bold on accessories, and never ever leave home without giant Chanel sunglasses."

Thanks Caroline for sharing your wisdom and your Wish List!

1. Chanel 2.55 bag (straight from C&C)

2. Giant Tahitian pearl necklace

3. Studded Christian Louboutins ("I got a cute pair by Dolce Vita with studs but these are just too fierce for words").

Katie's Wish List

The first person I sent my Wish List challenge to was my identical twin sister. We have spent our entire lives wishing together. Funny that despite being identical, our top 5 wishes are not all the same. Good thing she doesn't want the Louis Vuitton trunk! I got dibs!

Katie's Wish List

1. Cartier gold tank watch

2. Hermes enamel bangles – who doesn’t love an enamel bangle…or 10!

3. Someday – but I’m in no hurry, I lust for a Carolina Herrera wedding gown!

4. A pair of Christian Louboutin Simple 100 Pumps

5. And as long as this is a wish list, Gabrielle Reece’s amazingly fit body!

Thanks sister for sharing your Wish List! Here's to getting what you wish for!

My Wish List

Every girl has a wish list, whether it includes a handbag, a dress, a house, or to acquire a new talent. If money were no object (as if that is ever the case), what would be on your wish list? In the next two weeks I will post the Wish Lists of some of my readers.

Here is my current Wish List. It's focused on fashion, but it certainly goes beyond shoes, clothes, and handbags...

1. Chanel Tweed

2. A Swiss made watch (like this Patek Phillipe)

3. Christian Louboutin shoes (that means multiple pairs)

4. "Timeless Classic" Chanel 2.55 handbag

5. Oscar de la Renta dress (the event will determine the dress, but really any old Oscar will do)

6. My mother's Louis Vuitton trunk that belonged to my grandmother. She used it during their trips across the Atlantic when her father was in the Army. (it looks like the one below)
