What I Wore

I've really been trying to get out of my workout clothes and into all the clothes that sit unworn in my closet. "What I Wore" posts really motivate me to wear something new as opposed to putting on my over-worn favorites. 

Last week I paired this Cynthia Steffe blouse (Gilt Groupe) with my Tory Burch shorts from Consign Design, Angela Caputi Chain link bracelets (Serena Italian Imports), and Cole Haan pink patent peep toe wedges.

So, where did I go? A quick trip to Louis Vuitton to pick up my bag that was being repaired, J. Crew to purchase a pink patent belt, and then Trader Joe's to stock up on groceries.

Wedding Shower Weekend

This weekend we celebrated the last of our pre-wedding activities with a Jack and Jill shower here in D.C. I was excited to wear white, a true perk of being the bride. The BHLDN dress that I scored on Gilt Groupe was perfect for an evening garden party! 

Our family friends threw us beautiful party with delicious food, great friends, and mango margaritas that made me feel like summer really is upon us! 

On Sunday after the craziness was over and we sent our parents on their way, we unpacked the fruits of the "stock the bar" party. We'll definitely be returning the favor for all of our friends shortly after the wedding. And now we've got the means to do it!

We spent the rest of the day recovering and enjoying some sun time.

"Jumping" In

I finally bit the bullet and bought my first jumpsuit, and I'm thrilled! I'd been holding off trying to find just the right one that was age appropriate, figure flattering, and versatile. And then I found this gem by Marc by Marc Jacobs on Gilt Group for 50% off the retail price! Ca-Ching! It came in black and green and I debated back and fourth and finally went with the black. I know this is going to be my go-to for summer and even fall with great tights! Jump for joy for the jumpsuit!

I am a big fan of Cynthia Steffe. In fact I just received the most fabulous red skirt and black and white sleeveless blouse from the recent sale on Gilt Groupe. The line offers luxurious statement pieces alongside stylish basics; everything a girl needs in her closet.

Gilty Pleasures

I used my Gilt Groupe credit today to purchase this fabulous strapless peplum dress from Tracy Reese. This is the macaw green, but I got the beet stain, which is a deep pink. I am crossing my fingers and toes that it fits.
