Reader Challenge: Wedding Wedge

I have a friend that is getting married this Fall. Last week I came across this dress from French Connection and sent it to her thinking it would be a great "dancing dress."

She is wearing a stunning Vera Wang gown, but this would definitely be easier to move in later in the night. 

Since I've seen "the dress", I couldn't help by ask what shoes she is going to wear. Unfortunately, she is yet to find the perfect pair. We all know good shoes are nearly as hard to find as a good husband! 

Since I found her a great dancing dress, I figured I may as well help her find the right wedding shoes too. The wedding will be held outside on grass, so a wedge will be the most practical choice. Here are some great options at a variety of price points. 

First I thought I would start with more traditional options that compliment the elegance of the dress.

Not Your Mom's HSN

I was lucky enough to take a trip down south to Florida recently to visit HSN. I know what you're thinking - insomniacs, hermits, your grandmother....let me tell you, it is none of these things. They are at the forefront of the retail industry, revolutionizing the way people shop and interact with a brand. And did I mention all the cool celebrities with whom they have partnerships?! Like their motto says, "It's fun here," and it is.

Working at HSN would be AMAZING...but it's certain I'd blow my paycheck each month faster than one of their show clocks could count down - between clothes, home, and accessories, every time I turned around there was something I needed wanted. Planning Ahead

We will be spending New Year's Eve in Sun Valley with our good friends. None of us have ever really "done it up" on New Year's (I know...we're pretty lame), so we will be leaving our little people at home for the night and hitting the town. We've made reservations at The Lodge Dining Room at the Sun Valley Resort for a night of dinner and dancing, totally old school style!

Reader Request - Black Tie Wedding

A C & C reader recently asked for suggestions for a black tie wedding in Washington, D.C. at the Willard Hotel - ooh la la! I wish I were going, there's nothing more fun than getting all dressed up. The wedding is for one her best friends from growing up, and her friend LOVES glitter! The cake toppers are even crystal! She's marrying a good southern boy, so this fete promises to be a good one and this reader needs to look dynamite.
