Another Steal

Last week I stopped by my favorite Portland consignment store, Seams To Fit , to see if I had sold any items and to check out the latest inventory. As I approached the rack of coats an olive jacket caught my eye...could it be a Barbour? I pulled it off the rack and sure enough, it was! A BRAND NEW (with tags) Barbour Beaufront Jacket and the Betty Interactive Liner (also in Olive)!

My husband had a Barbour jacket growing up, and I bought him one a number of years ago for his birthday. Since then I have been lusting after my own but have never pulled the trigger...until now. This jacket retails for over $400 (and the vest for $100), and I got both for $199! It was too good to pass up.

For those of you who are not familiar with Barbour, it is an iconic British Lifestyle Brand founded in 1894. Think Fox hunting and country chic. It's been a brand of the British Royalty for years and was worn by the late Princess Diana.

And now it's gone mainstream and is seen on some of the chicest celebrities like Alexa Chung and Olivia Palermo.

And now it will be seen on me!

  1. I could not be more jealous!!! Thanks for reminding me to go to Seams to Fit, I haven't been there in awhile! Congrats on the jacket - I love good finds like that!

  2. And to think I waited a day to go back because I had to "think about" how much I really needed it. Need is not something that should be considered in these situations. :)
They have some great things right now...some amazing Chanel and Dolce and Gabbana. Still expensive but a fraction of the real price.
