All I Want for Christmas

While I didn't make a trip to see Santa this year, it doesn't mean I haven't made a list. Regan shared her list, and it only seemed fitting that I should too. Dr. B, are you reading this? :-).

I desperately need a new dress coat. Here are a two options I found online.
Ted Baker London Long Wrap Coat
Burberry Brit Rushworth Wool Coat

When we were on our honeymoon, in Hong Kong The Peninsula had the MOST AMAZING sheets I have ever slept in. They are an Italian brand called Quagliotti and I don't think I'd ever leave my bed if we had them. You can't really see them in this picture, but they are a soft grey with a  very fine pinstripe. Perfection.

I've heard these are great for your skin. You can never go wrong with good skin care.

I'm always cold and I need some good sweaters to keep me warm. I think this would do the trick.
Sweaty Betty Sanctuary Knitted Tunic

A girl can never have too many hand bags. I've had my eye on this one for a while, and now it's on sale!
Marc Jacobs Bowery Satchel

We're huge fans of Irene Wood at C & C. Her jewelry is amazing...and she also paints! As we continue to decorate our house, we need something long and rectangular for our living room. I love this piece, "Above and Below, I Float" and am thinking we might need to commission a similar piece.

And if we're really talking wish list, building out our attic would top the list! This is what it looks like now.

But if Santa could finish off one side as an office and the other as a sleeping space, that would be great. I've been a very good girl this year!

I hope you're making a list and checking it twice!

The Other 1/4

A few weeks ago I blogged about the amazing Woolrich coat I got at Anthropologie. I've worn it twice and can't wait to break it out again soon. Anyway....the only shortcoming to this fabulous coat is that it has 3/4 sleeves. While they look fantastic, it leaves my forearms exposed to the elements, i.e. the rain and cold.

This has prompted my search for long gloves, as I need to cover the other 1/4 of my arm. Here are a few of the pairs that I have my eye on.

Any other suggestions?

Vine to Swine

Tomorrow I will be faced with one of my biggest fashion challenges to date. My husband and I are celebrating our 5th Anniversay by going with some friends to a "farm to fork" lunch/wine pairing in Oregon wine country. So you ask, what's the big deal? Dressing for lunch at a winery should be easy....Here's where the challenge arises. After indulging in fine wine and food, we will be heading to the Oregon State Fair for another kind of cultural experience...

The weather is going to be sunny and in the mid to high 80's. So, assuming no outift change, what is appropriate for both venues? Based on items I already have in my closet, here is what I have come up with.

But let's be real...chances are I will bring a change of clothes!

For the Girl Who Has Everything

Why not give her an ipad case that looks like a handbag?

Marc Jacobs Quilted ipad Case $495

I think I prefer a handbag that actually holds some of my stuff too!

Channeling Chanel

Chanel recently raised the price of their handbags 20%, putting that 2.55 further down on my realistic wish list (sigh).

In the meantime, I thought I'd share with you some quilted alternatives that channel Chanel's timeless classic.

"Jumping" In

I finally bit the bullet and bought my first jumpsuit, and I'm thrilled! I'd been holding off trying to find just the right one that was age appropriate, figure flattering, and versatile. And then I found this gem by Marc by Marc Jacobs on Gilt Group for 50% off the retail price! Ca-Ching! It came in black and green and I debated back and fourth and finally went with the black. I know this is going to be my go-to for summer and even fall with great tights! Jump for joy for the jumpsuit!

Katie's Summer Wish List

Since I'll be guest blogging with the arrival of the little mini any day now, Regan's summer wish list inspired me to start my venture into the blogosphere. I'll be making more frequent posts soon, so thank you for allowing me to frequent C & C while she is busy helping bring the newest little fashionista into the world. So here's what I've been lusting after as the summer season gets off to a start, what are you jonesing for?

Striped Dress - Whether it's for work or play, you really can't go wrong with stripes. Michelle Obama wore this Marc Jacobs on a recent trip to South America, and it has been on my mind ever since.

1. Kate Spade 2. Marc by Marc Jacobs

Fierce Wedges - I've been on the quest for the perfect wedge...both of these are pretty amazing. Have you seen any must-haves worth sharing?

1. Seychelles 2. Michael Kors

Colorful Trousers - I'm really loving all the color blocking this season, and a pair of pants like these for the weekend, seem like a no-brainer...the question is, what color?

Skinny Stretch Jeans by Zara

Sophisticated Satchel - Whether it's a clutch or a satchel, there's something extremely sophisticated about carrying a purse on your arm.

Let's be a Lady

This Mimi CDC dress from Marc Jacob's Spring Collection is the perfect lady-like silhouette. I could see Kate Middleton wearing this dress... it is classic and tasteful yet still very fashionable and chic.
