Dress Like the Mini

On Friday I took this photo of the Mini Fashionista. Doesn't she have great street style? Truth be told, most days she looks better than I do. 

One of my friends (SB) commented that she would wear the outfit if it came in her size. Which, by the way, is a jacket from Old Navy, tunic and leggings from Carter's (all from the kid's consignment sales I blogged about here), cardigan by Crewcuts (ebay purchase) and her most coveted pony hair shoes from Zara (a gift). 

So for anyone else who likes the Mini's street style, I thought I would put together the adult equivalent of what she is wearing...with a budget in mind, of course!

Splurge vs. Save

A while ago trusted cabinet member Jess (you remember her from the series, right?) came across these amazing Alice + Olivia High Waist Wide Leg Pants (which also come in cobalt blue - I kind of die). Ever since then we've been on a quest for a more affordable pair. We can do better than $198.

Enter Express. You know that store you shopped at as a teenager? At least I haven't been in there since I was watching real-time episodes of 90210. Well let me tell you, I'm going to get on the "express train" over to Express because $69.90 leaves me $128.10 to go shopping with. Done and done.

I wish I could have downloaded a bigger picture of these adorable shoes. They come in 4 colors (striped and solid) and are only $39.50! I would have never thought to find something so cute at The Express.
