Wedding Week in Photos

I'm back! After three weeks away, I've missed our little blog. And a huge shout out to Regan for posting while I went off and got married and went on a honeymoon. In case you missed it, here are some photos from our wedding from our INCREDIBLE photographer, Hillary Maybery!

We had the most amazing time with friends and family in Idaho, and I'm thinking we need to have a wedding every 5 years, just so we can do it all over again! What a great party! As I ease back into blogging, I thought I'd share some of my photos from the wedding week.
En route with the dress and 3 weeks of clothes!
Surrounded by forest fires and smoke, not in the plans
Not so bridal - an allergic reaction on the golf course early in the week

We've got our marriage license
Reunion of old friends
Bridal party girls at Thursday welcome cocktails

Honeymoon Recap - Hong Kong

On our way back home from Bali, we stopped for three nights and two full days in Hong Kong. With seven million people living in 426 sq miles, it is quite the booming metropolis - where dining, shopping, and cultural experiences abound. We enjoyed every minute of our time there and will definitely be returning at some point in our lives.
Picked up in a Rolls by the hotel. Not a bad way to
start our stay!
We had beautiful, but hot and humid, weather!
View from Victoria Peak
Opening day at the Hong Kong Jockey Club
Happy that at least Dr. B won on his horses!
Navigating the metro
Choosing fabric for our custom PJs
Visit to a buddhist temple
Boat ride at Aberdeen Fish Market
Repulse Bay
Dim Sum in Happy Valley
Last dinner of our honeymoon over looking the harbor
Room with a view - an early breakfast before we left
After a 15 hour flight from Hong Kong to NYC
Almost home!

If you want advice on where to go, what to see, and how much to eat in Hong Kong, I'm your gal!

Wedding Wear

First and foremost, HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!!

Now let's get down to business. As the months to the wedding get closer, I'm focusing on the important details..the wardrobe! We've got a number of activities going on around the big day - a bridal luncheon, the rehearsal dinner, and a brunch on Sunday, so I've got lots of reasons to find new outfits. And then, of course, there is the honeymoon to shop for. A colleague sent me this BCBGeneration stripe maxi dress in galaxy multi stripe.

After perusing the world wide web, I found its shorter, sassy cousin, the BCBGeneration back cutout dress. The back is definitely my favorite part.

Since I'm a sucker for stripes, and they're going to be incorporated into the wedding, I thought one of these would be great for our brunch on Sunday and for our honeymoon. Now the question is, which one? I've got both coming in the mail and I'll keep you posted on which one I pick.

Which dress would you pick?

*Since writing this post, both dresses arrived. The maxi went back to Nordstrom, and the short one found a home with my colleague. Neither was quite right for me. I did, however, find a great dress last night at Kate Spade that is perfect for our wedding weekend! Look for it later this week on the blog!

Honeymoon Recap - Bali

So I can relive it, despite being back to reality, I thought I'd share some pictures from of our amazing honeymoon in Bali and Hong Kong. We'll do Bali first and then Hong Kong on another day. I did take hundreds of photos! If you haven't been to Bali and it isn't on your list of places to travel, add it - delicious food, wonderfully nice people, and beautiful scenery! What's not to love?! Since the island is so small, you can easily move around in a matter of hours. We were lucky enough to stay in three different, equally amazing, spots during our stay. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Our first stop in Seminyak
Touring a Hindu temple on our way to Ubud
The hotel bar in Ubud. Not a bad spot for a drink
The fruits of our labor from our cooking class
Our biking expedition through Balinese villages
Our friend from the Monkey Forest
Women working in the rice paddies
Our last, and favorite, stop in Bali
Hotel view from the water
It was very stressful!
Last night in Bali. Despite the smiles, we were so sad to leave!
If you're headed to Bali and want suggestions, let me know! Next stop, Hong Kong! Stay tuned.
