Get Fresh

Remember Joe Fresh, the Canadian company I blogged about back in May?  They had a great deal on these adorable striped driving loafers?

As I shared, the only retail stores are in NY and NJ. Wah, wah, wah....

Now for the good news, J.C. Penney Co. and Joe Fresh have struck a deal and will open shops in 700 Penney stores beginning in April.  The shops will debut with women’s apparel selling dresses, t-shirts, denim and silk blouses. And, Joe Fresh products will be available online at jcp.com. Here are a few of my favorite items from the current collection.

Now we just have to wait until April and hope our JCP store is lucky enough to get the Joe Fresh shop. 

A week in photos

Tomorrow is our last day in Sun Valley. We've had a fantastic week+ of skiing (alpine and x-country), spending time with family, visiting with friends, and of course a little shopping (see last week's post). If you've never visited Sun Valley, may I suggest you plan a vacation A.S.A.P!

However, as all of you who have been to SV know, the best place to drink coffee is at Java. Because nothing completes a trip like a raspberry muffin and a bowl of soul. As the cup says, "wake up and live."

Slipping Out

Stepping Slipping out, is all the rage these days. Velvet loafers, smoking shoes, daytime-appropriate slippers, whatever you want to call them, I'm a fan. Here's a photo of me from our recent trip to California in my Sam Edelman Alvin Smoking Shoes, which are kind of to die for.

Stubbs and Wootton are the Palm Beach-based bespoke makers of the top-of-the-line slippers, if you want to go that route. Current style icons like Olivia Palermo show us all how to take slippers from the bedroom to the boardroom (well, maybe just out to lunch with the girls).

While not today, one day, I cross my heart and hope to die, I will have have a pair with my monogram emblazoned all over the front. In the meantime, here are some more pocketbook friendly options.

Cleaning Couture

I recognize that there is nothing fashionable about these slippers, but being the clean freak that I am, I couldn't help but share them. We have all tile and hardwood floors in our house, so despite weekly cleaning there is always dust. I think I found the solution!
