Getting in the Holiday Spirit

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....or at least it's on people's minds....mine at least. And here at Cardigans & Couture, we're in the holiday spirit. Which is a good thing for our readers! Our friend Katie, who is a Stella & Dot stylist, is giving one lucky reader this silver and aqua stone cut bracelet.

This is the perfect addition to any arm party. I'm wishing I could win our giveaway. All you have to do is follow Katie's Facebook page and leave a comment below. We'll announce a winner on Friday morning!

In the meantime, since shopping lists are top-of-mind, here are a few things to consider for your family, friends, or yourself (self-gifting is totally acceptable) - and they're all under $50.

Products We Love

It's no secret that Katie and I have a mild obsession with Angela Caputi bracelets. Let me refresh your memory.

Even the Mini Fashionista loves them!

This might be news to you, but Angela Caputi also makes her beautiful resin necklaces!

Our favorite Angela Caputi supplier, Serena Italian Imports, sells them in a selection of colors including black, turquoise and yellow. I have the turquoise and love it!

Through the end of the month, Serena Imports is offering 15% off so you too can stock up on more bracelets or get yourself a fabulous necklace! Use the code CCSUMMER15 to redeem your discount!

Products We Love

Last week I was extremely lucky to be the recipient of these fantastic and bright hair elastics/bracelets from my friend, and fellow barre3 instructor Viva.

Before I talk about the bracelets, let me talk about Viva. I am convinced that she has super human powers. This woman has three kids, is a barre3 and yoga instructor, bakes and cooks like a professional and is always working on some sort of craft project. She tells me the way she gets all of this done is by letting the laundry pile up every now and again. :) I'm convinced there is more to it!

Viva started making V!V wear bracelets because, like so many people with long hair, she takes her hair down and pulls it back up throughout the day, thus accumulating hair elastics on her wrist.  She wanted something that looked just as good on her wrist as it did in her hair. She wanted real jewelry, real gold or silver, to go with her other jewelry, to sparkle. She also wanted something that she could wear when doing yoga or chasing her kids around the park. With three kids, Viva, like so many of us, struggles to find that balance between functional and fashionable.

At least now with V!V wear she has solved the dilemma for jewelry!

Not only can you choose your elastic color, but the gold comes in "twist" or "dot". Both are equally as fabulous!

Viva has so generously offered to give C&C readers 10% off V!V wear using the code CC10OFF. The code can be used on her Etsy site for the next two weeks. Happy Shopping!

Arm Candy

How fabulous are these wrap bracelets from Gorjana? They are reasonably priced between $50-$60.

Which one is your favorite?

Arm Candy

Recently I came across these INCREDIBLE python bangles from Presmer. These bracelets could easily become a favorite along with the Angela Caputi (don't forget about the 10% discount through the 20th). They come in tons of colors and a variety of styles and sizes.

I love the skinny ones stacked together, and I would totally wear 10 at a time, but that would add up to nearly $400! I might have to start with just two or three.

If you are still Christmas shopping, these would be great for any fashionista in your life.

Bangle, Bangle, Bangle!

For the last few seasons, bangles have been HUGE! From wooden bangles on the runway, to gold and silver ones on our favorite celebrities. The mantra seems to be the more the merrier. I had (okay still recovering from...) a small obsession with enamel bangles and have now moved on to a collection of bracelets that I switch up depending on what I'm wearing (although my Hermes enamel enamel that I got for V-Day will be a life-long love).

I thought I'd share a picture of how I'm bangling (I think it deserves its own verb) this season below. As you may have read in a previous post, after seeing Viviana Volpicella, assistant fashion editor, Vogue Nippon, wearing two resin Angela Caputi Chain Link Bracelets, I went on the hunt for these fabulously large links...and after hunting far and wide, two of them, in amber and ochre, are now my right wrist signature staple for spring and summer. On my left, along with my gold Michael Kors Watch, I have a stack that hails from H&M, my grandmother, and two Bacca Shanghai gemstone bangles. What are you stacking for spring?

Henri Lou Who?

I was browsing through some of my favorite blogs and Sweet Details posted about a recent purchase of a Henri Lou bracelet and necklace and I couldn't help but share with you all! Henri Lou jewelry is inspired from a saddle shop in the ghost town of Calico, which is located between the stretch of road between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Sweet Details, I'm very jealous of your new purchases! These bracelets are fabulous, especially the pastels for summer. They have an Hermes feeling for me, at a not-so-Hermes price! Great find!

Rainbow Right

Rainbow print is often a little youthful for my taste, but a pop of rainbow here and there is a great way to brighten up any outfit. These bracelets from Sobral are the right kind of rainbow! I especially like the large one!

Small Bangle $50
Large Bangle $92

Trina Turk is well known for her bold prints, fun dresses, and chic resort wear. Now you can add her accessories to your closet with her fabulous jewelry collection. I especially love all the turquoise!

A fashionable Link

In this photo, Viviana Volpicella is wearing the most amazing resin chain link bracelets from Angela Caputi! I love how she layered two of the bracelets, so chic! If you want to replicate this look, you can get these amazing bracelets (in a variety of colors) for $65 at Serena Imports. Thanks to my fashionable twin sister for the tip on where to find these little treasures!

Back in The Day

Every Summer as a child, my sister and I took an arts & crafts class where we made masks, filled jars with colored sand, and made lanyard bracelets. Now, you can save yourself the effort and bring back the style from the Summers of your youth with the Brette Sandler Lanyard and gold-plated bracelets. Or, you can head to your local crafts store and try it for yourself!

The Knot in Nautical

Nautical inspired fashion is always in style for Summer. This Sailor's Knot Bracelet from The Vamoos on Etsy is adorable and would be a great addition to any girl's jewelery collection.
