Cute and Comfy

Last week I put the following post on my personal Facebook page:

"What are your most favorite sandals or flats that are comfortable for lots of walking in warm weather AND are stylish/chic?"

I thought I would share some of the responses! Notice that there are a nice variety of styles and prices!

I posted this question in anticipation of our trip to Europe at the end of the summer. And while I LOVE all these suggestions, and already own a number of these shoes, I think I've decided to go with one of my tried and true favorites, Cole Haan.

Splurge vs. Save

I have been admiring gold footbed sandals for a while now. They are clearly a hot trend this season, and I can't help but fall for them. That said, I wonder will I be so head over heels next year?

I really like this pair from Sam Edelman, especially the texture in the gold. SE makes great shoes, and they are usually very comfortable. But, for a trend, I'm not sure I want to spend $100.

Enter Target. Every summer I end up buying a "cheap" pair of trendy sandals from Target and wear them non-stop.

I bought these Doris sandals earlier this week and am definitely don't feel any need to splurge. They fit well are super comfortable and cute! I am usually a size 8.5 and bought the 8.

Sam Edelman Style

Can we talk about how Sam Edelman has been slaying it in the shoe category lately (remember the Petty boots I got on super sale earlier this year!). I'm not sure I could pull off these Putnam boots with the woven heal, but I definitely have some friends who could.

Their sandals for summer make the heat a little bit more tolerable.

What I Wore - Dressed in a Vest

Cardigan Wednesday - Classic Sophistication

I'm switching it up this week. A classic substitution for the cardigan is the blazer. And with all the new lines coming out, I've got Fall on the mind...and these smoking loafers from Sam Edelman, which I'm really hoping will come as a birthday present come September...hint hint!
