Get Your Feet Wet

Just about a year ago I posted these fantastic rain boots from Joules.

In a quest for cute rain boots for the Mini Fashionista I wandered back to the Joules website, and of course I couldn't help but see what adult boots they have. Here are a few of my favorites.

 I especially like these Wellibobs!

And for all you horse lovers, the horse print boot is pretty fun too!

Splurge vs. Save

Last week I saw a woman wearing these adorable Hunter flats! They are super cute, but unless you live in Portland like I do, you might not wear them enough to justify the $115.

LL Bean offers an affordable alternative for only $70!

So, what do you think, splurge or save?

Change of Seasons

I know it's Wednesday, and this post has nothing to do with cardigans, but we've decided to provide our readers with quality, not quantity. That said, Cardigan Wednesday won't be every week, but we'll still make sure to keep you all up to date on the latest and greatest cardi's.

On to another topic...

It's officially fall! I was really loving the 80 degree weather in September, but I knew it was too good to last. Instead of fighting the change of seasons, I've decided to embrace it by celebrating all things appropriate for fall and winter.

And these couldn't be more fabulous. A bit of a knock off of the orginal L.L. Bean Duck boot, but I  think I like these even more.

Dress like the Duchess

Hunter boots will soon be a thing of the past thanks to Duchess Kate. She was recently seen in North Wales wearing these Le Chameau Wellington Boots.

You too can dress like the Duchess as the boots are available at Amazon, Endless, and J Jill.

Rainy Days No More!

Are you a frequent traveler? Plagued by rainy days that ruin your beautiful shoe collection? Love your Hunters but just can't fit them in your suitcase? Have I (well DKNY) got the answer for you...The DKNY Voyager Rain Boot! It looks like your everyday rain boot, but it's held up with an elastic band, taking it from tall for wearing, to short for packing in a moment's notice. On the website they only have them in black, but in the recent Instyle they also came in a coral color that would make any rainy day a little brighter.

Every girl (especially us Portlanders) needs a good pair of rain boots. These Steve Madden Tsunamii boots look like a standard galosh from the front, but the back zipper adds a unique detail.

Bright and Sunny

The weather here in Portland has been anything but bright and sunny. In fact, We've had one of the wettest Springs on record. I could have really used this adorable rain coat on Sunday when I was standing in 2+ inches of rain.

Danefae Raincoat 134.95 Euro.

Better When Wet

Spring in Portland brings a mix of beautiful 80 degree days, rainy and 60 & sometimes a combination of the two. There is nothing more appropriate for Spring weather in Portland, or anywhere for that matter, than a lightweight rain jacket. This unisex Rain Parka from American Apparel comes in 4 colors and for $85 would be a perfect addition to any woman's (or man's) wardrobe.

What Happened to the Sun?

I am in Sun Valley for the weekend (last trip of the summer), and the weather is ridiculously cold for August. It's 48 degrees outside right now!!!! and the lightweight rain jacket I brought is not cutting it. Here is what a I really need. It's a great color and oh so cozy! Too bad I can't run out to Patagonia and pick one up!

Rain Rain Go Away

The cool, gloomy weather has returned to Portland. While it is a nice reprieve from the scorching hot temperatures, I am not ready for Summer to be over. Still, I have to be prepared for the rain to return, and when it does, these Target Galoshes would be perfect.

Summer Showers

The rain has returned to Portland (hopefully not for long), and I am facing the fact that walking in the rain ruins my good shoes. In the winter I have my Tamara Henriques Wellington Boots to get from the car to my office, but what to do in the Summer showers?

Tory Burch has the perfect solution, the Jelly Reva Flat. For $95 you can save your shoes from the rain and look cute while doing it!
