What I Wore

Another "What I Wore Post"....can you believe it? This is my third week in a row! I am really making an effort to put together somewhat presentable outfits when I leave the house. This ensemble took me to the Nike Employee Store and the post office! Exciting, right?

I am still looking for a better way to take photos, so for now you will have to deal with the poor quality.

Top- Theory (old from Nordstrom Rack), Colored Jeans- Zara, Shoes- Calvin Klein, Bracelets- Italian leather from Florence.

What I Wore to Work - Monday Maxxinista

My recent trip to T.J. Maxx proved extremely fruitful, as they usually do. There is nothing better than walking away with a great dress that can be worn for work and play. This Calvin Klein scoop neck pleated chiffon dress fits the bill perfectly. For the bargain price of $49.99, it even came with the belt! I love green for summer, and I am especially fond of mixing hues. Paired with three of my Angela Caputi bracelets from Serena Italian Imports, I was dressed with relative ease. I will definitely be getting a lot of use out of this during the hot D.C. summer months!

If you don't have a T.J. Maxx near you, I found the dress online from Nordstrom, but for $118.00 (I scored!). And it comes in these additional colors.

Dressy Pants

Because I'm tall, 5'10, with short in style, it often limits where and how I'm able to wear many of the dresses on the racks these days. Therefore, I'm a huge fan of wearing dresses and tunics over pants. My mom and sister sent me this great little sleeveless dress from H & M (thanks ya'll), which I wear out on the weekends by itself, but it's definitely WAY too short for work.

By throwing on a belt (Target), a navy short sleeve cardigan (Target), navy suit pants (Tahari), and some accessories, I was ready to go! If you've got a short dress that you like, try it with skinny pants, or tailored suit pants, you might just find you've got a whole new outfit. Even this Fall's designers are catching on to the trend.

P.S. Check out the Facebook page later today for a picture of what I wore today - I paired a Zara dress with some black pants from H & M that I got over the weekend. "Dressy Pants" in action!
