Snow Bunny Style

Having grown up in a ski town, I have a propensity for all things skiing. Since winter is soon upon us, it's only fitting that we start planning our apres-ski, skiing-inspired attire. I love when brands find cute ways to integrate my favorite winter sport into apparel and accessories - and C. Wonder is definitely winning this year.

They even take it to the next level with these adorable plates (which also come as coasters).

I'm definitely going to need that hat for Christmas at home in Sun Valley.

Is that Hermes, no, it's C. Wonder!

I was perusing instagram (you can follow me here) and about had a heart attack (dishes have that effect on me) when I saw this picture.

Are you kidding me? The chains, the navy, the gold...it's PURE PERFECTION. And it's from C. Wonder, not Reynaud, Bernadaud, or Hermes. Now if I was Kim Kardashian, who I'm not, because there clearly haven't been rumors about me naming my baby North...Get it...North West (BTW I'm not pregnant)(hat tip Suri Cruise for the intel on the baby names), I would have registered for Hermes china...because it's RIDICULOUS. But, if you have a little bit of an imagination, these two patterns.....

Pretty much become this.

So if you're wondering what to get me for my birthday (in six months)? I'll take a set of the bowls to start. They would go brilliantly with the China I do have. Thanks C. Wonder. I'm totally over your tift with Tory

What I Wore - Totally Tartan

I love the holidays. And I LOVE tartan. A co-worker wore this incredible blazer to work for our holiday lunch. I don't normally buy the same thing as my colleagues, but this was too good to pass up. I've already worn it twice in the last week.

It isn't available online, but here are store locations nationwide. It runs a little small, so you might consider going up a size if you're broad-shouldered like me.
And if you can't find the jacket, these might peak your plaid interest.
C. Wonder Wool Double Logo Ballet Flats
J. Crew Red Tartan Cafe Capri
Topshop Tartan Blazer
Trina Turk Dress
J. Crew Perfect Shirt in Tartan
Are you mad for plaid?

Today is the last day to enter our Angela Caputi giveaway. Get the details here and tomorrow we'll announce the winner.

Anna Wintour Wears...

Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of American Vogue magazine is a fashion institution. If you follow her style, you'll regularly see her wearing some variation of these gemstone necklaces. Perhaps her signature piece (not the Hermes scarf like in "The Devil Wears Prada")?

For $68, you can be just like Anna Wintour. C. Wonder's Glam Bling Choker Necklace comes in six colors and has a similar look to her neck party. If we knew where hers came from, I'm guessing we could consider this a Splurge vs. Save post!

Collared Classic

As we start the new year, I thought it would be good to revisit a classic. Old can always be new if you see it with fresh eyes. That's kind of how I feel about button down shirts lately. I've been wearing them A LOT...at work, at play...my PJ top even looks like one! For a while I thought they were BOR-ING. But worn as a layering piece or paired with the right bottom, this timeless classic is making a comeback in my closet in 2012!

I own these two from Lands End Canvas, and you can still get them on super sale. Check it out and let me know if you want advice on sizing! I love their stuff.

The Silk Gatehouse Shirt from Madewell also comes in black and white. Since it's silk, this is the perfect piece for the office or weekends and is a great transition piece between seasons.

If you haven't checked out C. Wonder online or been lucky enough to visit one of the few stores, here's your introduction. They don't carry everything online that they do in the stores, but their things are very reasonably priced and super cute and preppy. Who doesn't need a little gingham and ruffles in their lives?

For the girly girl in us all, the Kate Spade Tiff Top is ultimate prep. Who needs a popped collar when you've got this shirt!

This Red-Striped Dolman-Sleeve Shirt from Old Navy may just have to be my first purchase for spring. The possibilities with this little beauty are endless. I'm going to dream about it tonight. Which means I'll probably have to buy it tomorrow. I can't resist stripes. Big decision, red and white or navy and white?

And last, but certainly not least, florals are the perfect way to make what is traditionally masculine, totally feminine. This Cacharel Shirt in Floral Print from Asos is perfectly paired with a bold-hued skirt, but would be equally stunning with a pair of skinny jeans.

Which one is your favorite?
