Keeping It Fresh

You may remember when, nearly a year ago, I blogged about the Canadian brand Joe Fresh (post here). As I wrote then, Joe Fresh has partnered with JCP (the store formerly know as J.C. Penney) to launch a women's collection in U.S. stores. Joe Fresh has a handful of stores in New York but otherwise no presence in the United States.

How many of you have ever heard of Joe Fresh? Probably not many.... JCP is hoping it will draw new customers to their store...customers who haven't been to a J.C. Penney in a very long time.

Well, they've done their job! On Friday, I packed up the Mini Fashionista and made a rare trip to our local mall to check out the launch of Joe Fresh at JCP. Let's just say there wasn't a mob of people, so they still have some work to do.

Since I had the Mini with me, I was on borrowed time. I took some photos to share. There was lots of navy and white, a combination well loved by both halves of C&C.

The name Joe Fresh was well represented by an abundance of vibrant, fresh colors.

These skinny jeans had a cute ankle zipper. I would have tried them if I had more time...

Here is what I did try (I am on the hunt for new shorts). The lace shorts from the first photo, which I bought.

And I bought them in Navy too.  Now the challenge of how to style them...

They were $39 each, and they gave me a $10 off coupon, so I only spent $68 for two paris of shorts...not bad. Nothing else made it into my shopping bag. I probably would have bought more had it not been for the short patience of the Mini. Here are the other things I tried.

Now I am kind of wishing I bought these, only $19 (hello little Mini!).

I did notice they had great basic t-shirts and tanks for $10. Great colors and nice and long. I should have bought a few of those as well.

I will say the that the Joe Fresh product line will probably encourage me to make a quarterly trip to JCP, just to check things out. So tell me, do you frequent JCP? Have you checked out the Joe Fresh line?

  1. Hey Regan, thanks for the post.
I recently discovered JCP because I needed some slacks for work and I didn't want to spend a fortune. I found some great Liz Claiborne pants and tops and was pleasantly surprised how inexpensive they were.I also liked the lay out of the store and the fact that it wasn't cluttered like so many others. I will definitely shop there again and will check out your recommendation of the Joe Fresh line. Thanks for the tip! :)
