A Farewell to the Dress

When I bought my dress, I told myself I was going to sell it after the wedding. When we got home from our honeymoon and the box arrived from my mom, I was so happy to see it I put it on and walked around the house for a good 30 minutes...feeling very conflicted about the sale. But common sense set in. I didn't wear my mom's dress, and I'm pretty sure TBD daughter of ours (I'm sure we'll have a girl) won't want to wear it either.

So it's listed on PreOwnedWeddingDresses.com. And thankfully I have beautiful photos from Hillary Maybery Photography to remember the dress and the day. If you or someone you know is in the market for the Monique Lhullier Bellflower, send me a note at CardiCouture@gmail.com

While the dress will hopefully go to another bride, I do have the embroidered monogram that Regan gave me for inside the dress and my ribbon from my bouquet.

Now the question remains, what can I do with them? Only thing I can think of is to use them on a pillow...any other ideas?

BTW...Have you bought your Angela Caputi chain link bracelet yet? Only a few days left to save 10% at Serena Italian Imports. Use the code "fallcardicouture"!

  1. Aww, the the dress can't possibly look nearly as beautiful on another bride as you! However, I hope it finds a good home :)

  2. I love that you did this and it makes me rethink what to do with mine. Has someone purchased it yet?
