Every Vote Counts

This is our dear, dear friend Muffy Davis. She is an Olympic athlete and medalist in both the summer and winter Olympics.

She is also a mother, a wife, a friend, a fellow fashionista and one of the most inspiring people you will ever meet. More importantly, she is a nominee for the 2013 ESPY awards for Best Female Athlete with a disability.

Muffy needs your votes. You can vote one time from each device you have...phone, ipad, computer, etc. Follow the link here to help her win!

Gold Medal Style

The Olympics are officially over, and I am sure many of you are suffering from POD (post Olympic depression). It's the feeling of despair when you go home at night and you don't get to watch all your favorite athletes compete. I tend to have a more serious case of POD during the winter Olympics, but I will certainly miss watching the summer games too.

There were lots of gold medals awarded during the London Olympics, unfortunately there is not a medal for best dressed. Clearly the Duchess of Cambridge would take home the gold if fashion were a sport.
Well done Kate, chic as always, and always patriotic.

Hard KOR

One thing that many of the C&C readers may not know is that besides fashion, sport and the outdoors is a huge passion for Katie and me. Having grown up in a ski resort (Sun Valley, Idaho) we had hiking, skiing, mountain biking, fishing, etc. right out our back door. And despite being more city gals now, especially Katie, we are still most at home in the mountains.

Recently, a fellow mountain gal and also a former ski racer, introduced us to Kor water bottles (Thanks Katie H). Just like Katie and I, she appreciates a fashionable accessory, be it for a hike, a trip to the gym or for your office. They come in a variety of styles and colors and are not only functional and cute, but they also have a worthwhile mission.

Kor believes passionately in the importance of clean water to human health and to the health of our planet. Through their Thirst for Giving™ program, they donate a percentage of sales to a select group of non-profits focused on water-related causes. In addition to providing funding, they seek to raise awareness an engage the public on these water issues. Check out the Kor website to learn more and to order a bottle for yourself!

Here's a photo of me and the Mini Fashionista with my Kor bottle climbing Mt. Bachelor! Don't you LOVE her little hat? I would like one in my size!

And here is my sassy sister (love the new haircut) with her stainless steel Kor bottle.

Make a Splash

Being an avid athlete, I am always looking for ways to stay chic during sport. For any swimmers out there, you can make a splash with the new Marc Jacobs swim caps. They are available for $10 at www.marcjacobs.com
