Products We Love

It's only October 12th, but yesterday I placed my "Christmas card" order (Katie did too). I know you're thinking, "what? It's not even Thanksgiving". Well, I'm a Virgo, so I like to get things done early, and I like being one of the first cards people pull from their mailbox after Thanksgiving.

Anyway, to the topic of this post....where I purchased my cards. There are tons of sights that compete for your business - Minted, Tinyprints, Snapfish, simplytoimpress, Pear tree greetings...just to name a few. But, last year I couldn't find a layout that I liked that didn't cost well over a dollar per card. And when you send over 200 cards it adds up.

That's when I found Vistaprint. I was able to design exactly the card layout that I wanted and add a photo and text to the back. Here's our card from last year.

And the ultimate reason I chose them was the %50-off coupon code. In the order I placed yesterday I got 225 cards for $123. You can't beat it. Use the code CARD50 now on their site to get 50% off your holiday card order. I use the matte stock paper and think it looks and feels great.

Happy shopping!

Products We Love: Pear Tree Greetings

We're the family that sends a full page Christmas letter describing all the highlights of our year along with a photo. At my parents' house there is a wall of 30+ years of photos - including those awkward teenage years that I'd just assume forget. In my adult years I started doing my own holiday card. With so many great sites to pick from, it makes choosing just the right card easy - once you narrow it down from all the incredible options.

This year we chose Pear Tree Greetings. Not only do they have great product, but it's a really cool company. Check out this video about the amazing innovation that goes into designing the cards.

With all the travel we did during our first year of marriage, this card was the perfect way to celebrate a great 2013.

If you haven't ordered your cards yet, I suggest you check them out!

The Holidays are just around the corner. That means it's time to start thinking about shopping, Christmas cards, wrapping paper, and decorations galore. As trusted advisors (hopefully) for fashion, food, travel, and more, it's only right that we tip you off to some great holiday products.

A friend of mine recently started her own custom illustrated paper studio, featuring her beautiful, handpainted designs. From personalized stationery to notecards, Brank Ink products are a great gift or the perfect accompaniment to a gift.

I'm ready to play santa with these gift tags. She has over twenty designs to choose from.

She also has an assortment of note cards.

And custom invitations.

Check out her site for non-holiday paper products too - including one of my favorite things she offers - a custom water color of your home!
