Have Bag, Will Travel

Yesterday's post was for the men in your life. Today's gift guide is for all of the women in your life. While everyone likes extravagant gifts, practical gifts are pretty awesome too. I recently purchased a travel toiletry bag that I'm totally obsessed with.

I took mine on our trip to Bend last week, and it perfectly held all of my toiletries.

It's pretty awesome!

Kiwi Crate Update

Sometimes I wonder if anyone is reading anymore. Katie and I recognize that we have become infrequent and inconsistent in our blogging, and we're sorry.

We hope you haven't completely given up on us.

Our goal is not necessarily to give you as much content, but hopefully great content that keeps you engaged enough to read, even if we don't post as frequently.

So thank you for being loyal. We really, really appreciate it.

On to today's post...an update on the Kiwi Crate. Katie first posted a few weeks ago on the Kiwi Crate (here). She and Dr. B gave The Mini Fashionista a three month subscription for Christmas. It has hands down been one of the best gifts she has ever received.

She LOVES it!

This past weekend we spent over an hour doing the activities in her January crate. This month was focused on "ice experiments", and I think it was my favorite of the three. Not only was it fun and creative, but she also learned things like why an object will float in salt water but not fresh water!

So cool!

If you have kids, nieces, nephews...really any child in your life that you are buying a gift for, I highly recommend Kiwi Crate. The parents and the child will both be happy with the gift!

Products We Love: Mark & Graham

It has been a while since we talked Mark & Graham over here on C & C. But, it was quickly back on my radar when my friend gave me these awesome copper cups (along with a bottle of vodka and some ginger beer) for hosting her baby shower (major props to her in the gift-giving category).

It got me thinking...Mark & Graham is pretty much a one-stop shop for great presents. Who doesn't like a good monogram in one form or another.

For the bride and groom, I love the idea of the everyday acrylic tumblers

And if you ARE the bride, every bridesmaid needs a jewelry roll for her baubles.

Grooms, you can't go wrong with a canvas supply bag for your buddies' manscaping products.

Did your friends buy a new home? Personalized melamine trays to the rescue. Everyone loves colorful outdoor dishware (or maybe that's just me?).

For the world traveler, nothing's more apropos than travel accessories

Best friend's birthday? The Elle Bangle is the perfect everyday addition to an arm party.

Aforementioned best friend having a baby...Mark & Graham has that covered too. These bibs are cute and practical...

And I don't care who you are, no wrong can be done with an acrylic tray. No wrong.

So, there it is. Worse-case scenario, you've got some good "self-gifting" ideas (woe is you). Go on, get your gift on.

Gearing Up For Christmas

Last year we featured these fantastic "Santa Bags" as a great addition to your Christmas traditions. Since I think they are so cool, I thought I would feature them again (and I know we have a lot of new readers).

This year the seller, Scriptingle, is offering them in a new red and white color combination. Sadly, they are only making 200 bags this holiday season, so you better get your order in quickly.

Girls Rule the World

Chances are if you are reading this post, you are in fact a Girl! I'm pretty sure our male readership is low. That said, if you do happen to be a "boy" keep reading for all the little ladies in your life. You won't regret it.

What I am about to share with you is awesome, really really awesome! Thanks to my dear from Michelle B for introducing me to this company a year+ ago. She herself is pretty awesome too!

On to the uber coolness….say hello to GoldieBlox a story + construction set that bolsters confidence in spatial skills while giving young inventors the tools they need to build and create amazing things.

In a few words: building toys JUST for girls. Watch this video to get the idea behind this amazing product.

And now, meet the founder and creator and learn more about the story behind GoldieBlox.

If you know a little girl, GoldieBlox should definitely be on her Christmas list. The Mini Fashionista will definitely be getting some soon…and maybe a name change too…let's call her the Mini Engineer!

Products We Love

A few months ago I happened upon the site Waiting on Martha. The store is filled with fantastic gifts, home decor and accessories. These personalized petite plates are one of my favorite things on the site! In fact, I've already ordered some! I thought they would be the perfect item to share in a "Products We Love" post.

If you too like these little plates, I have some good news. Mandy at Waiting on Martha  has offered C&C readers 15% off for the next 5 days. Now through Sunday you can use the code C&C15 for 15% off your total purchase.

Here is a quick look at some of the other fabulous things on the site!

And for the gentleman in your life, she sells ties and bow ties from Collared Greens, a company founded in Sun Valley Idaho by a friend of ours. And Mandy is a frequent traveler to Sun Valley. Knowing that I like her and her site even more!

Happy Shopping!

Overnight Delivery

Last week I stumbled upon the most adorable Christmas tradition, the "Santa sack!" I was immediately ready to place my order for the Mini Fashionista.

The sack is made by a British company called Harrow & Green . It turns out this must be a British tradition because every vendor I found is located in the UK. As I made the final clicks to complete my order I was shocked by the fact that the cost of the bag was the same as the shipping $30! So, I decided to look for other options.

Of course, Etsy was the first place I looked, and I was lucky to find a number of choices. I ended on this one, also from a British vendor, called Scriptingle. The total cost with shipping was only $35 with shipping!

I can't wait for it to arrive and for the Mini to enjoy this Christmas tradition for many years to come!
