Apps We Love: Wunderlist

Do you have a love for lists as much as I do? At work I've got several going at any given time - both on paper and my computer. There's nothing more satisfying than crossing things off them. It's the little things, right?

Recently a friend and colleague (Thanks JB) introduced me to Wunderlist - an app that allows you to make and share lists with family and friends, keeping track of what needs to get done and checking it off when it does. Check it out.

We don't have kids and all the coordination and stuff that comes with it yet, and it is already making the craziness of life a little less crazy. Here are my current lists.

One is just for me (you'll notice that there are no little people next to it, which means it isn't shared). We've got a list for Costco, the regular grocery store, long-term projects for the house, and other "to do" basics. And of course you need a list of places to travel and restaurants to try. The great thing is that Dr. B can realize he needs more cream for his coffee, he puts it on the list, and next time I'm at the store I can pick it up. It's just that simple!

Here at C & C we like to find little ways to make your day better, and this is definitely one of them! Any Wunderlisters out there that are already hip to this list with tips we should know?

Products We Love: Waterlogue

Not a bad watercolor of our wedding day, right? I did it myself....Okay, that might be a stretch since I have ZERO artistic talent. Thankfully, my phone does! We love sharing our favorite apps with our readers (Like Red Stamp, Waze, and Walk Watch) and this one takes the cake. Want this photo turned into a watercolor?

Voila! Waterlogue to the rescue. For $2.99 you can turn your favorite photos into beautiful works of art - they even let you send postcards direct from the app.

Here are a few of my other masterpieces.

It's art for dummies!

Products We Love: Waze

Hopefully the New Year will find you on the road and traveling to fun places. And if you're like me, your tolerance for traffic is virtually nonexistent. Enter Waze. This is the app that everyone should have on their phones. It's the world's largest community-based traffic and navigation app. And once you've gone Waze, you'll never go back.

You want to know where red light cameras are? Waze will tell you. Trying to decide what route to take for your commute home? Waze shows you where traffic is backed up and just how slow it's moving. Trying to avoid police as you speed up 95 (oh wait, that's us), Waze will tell you where to look for them.

Consider this my belated Christmas gift to you! Get those fingers moving to the app store!

Products We Love + A Giveaway!

Last month I blogged about some of my favorite bars, including thinkThin protein bars. Not only do the folks at thinkThin make great bars, but they're also super generous. They're going to give one of you a free box of bars! Leave a comment below on what flavor you'd like (Chunky Peanut Butter, Brownie Crunch, Creamy Peanut Butter, or Carmel Fudge) and we'll announce a winner on Wednesday!

Since these are a good, protein-rich meal on-the-go, I thought I'd also share one of my other favorite on-the-go tools - Walk Watch.

I love to walk for exercise, and this app is the perfect way to not only track your routes, but also just how far you go.

What are your go-tos for keeping fueled and fit?

Products We Love

In today's iPhone age getting a good tip on an app is like 50% off at your favorite store. It's BIG HUGE. Remember when we told you about Red Stamp? It's still one of my go-tos to send a fun note to friends and family.

Today, I've got another one for you - also photo-related. Developed by bloggers Elsie and Emma, BeautifulMess is the #1 paid App in the App store. They developed it as an easy way to make your photos pretty and to share them with friends. You can also make images with graphic templates to email, text, or post to Facebook and instagram. Here are a few of my creative attempts.

Check out their blog for more detail on the app and for inspiration in designing your own photos.
