Say Yes to the Dress

Tomorrow we leave for Idaho for our wedding, which is just 8 days away! I can't believe it is already here. Obviously we can't talk weddings on the blog without talking about the most important thing...THE DRESS. While you'll have to wait until after the wedding to see what I chose, I thought I'd share with you my shopping experience and some of the dresses that didn't make the cut.

There's my dress on the end all bagged up - clearly it's not a sheath
I bought my dress from Betsy Robinson's Bridal Collection just outside of Baltimore. Blogger friend Casie of Whipped Style recommended that I visit there, and I am so glad I did. I had the most wonderful experience. From the extremely helpful staff (Betsy Robinson herself), to not rushing me through the fitting, this is what wedding dress shopping is supposed to be like.

And did I mention they have jars of treats? Wedding dresses and candy! SOLD! I help myself to a large serving of those gummy bears each and every time I visit. If you live in the D.C. area, they have a huge selection of designers and gowns and I can't sing their praises enough!

Now on to the dresses. Here are four I tried and really liked, but won't be taking the walk down the aisle.
Amsale Blue Label Bijou
Amsale Blue Label Dahlia
Carolina Herrera
Monique Lhullier
While I'm enjoying the beaches of Bali, Regan will post updates from the wedding, so stay tuned! For real-time wedding updates follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

  2. Wow, if these are all the ones you DIDN'T choose, I can't wait to see what actually made the cut -- these are gorgeous! You're going to look amazing! :-)
