The Punch Collection

When I saw this line of dresses, I knew immediately I had to blog about them. The Punch Collection is a line of simple, chic dresses that go from day to night. Here is the story straight from the source:

"Last summer, I took my daughter to the Central Park Zoo and wore a perfectly appropriate pink and white gingham cotton shift. I then hurried home to get ready for a dinner party where I would be seated next to a chic woman known as much for her style as for her social standing. I wished I'd had the right outfit—a structured shift that could be paired with my strappy Prada sandals and jeweled necklace. After my eighth wardrobe change, I came up with the idea to create a collection of dresses that would take me from day to night.

My colleague, Lindsey Keenan, put me in touch with Voravit "Vee" Lapnarongchai, a former designer for Derek Lam. Vee came on board, and we created PUNCH SHIFTS—a line of eight dresses—one for each day of the week, plus one for swankier affairs. They can be worn on their own or paired with a cardigan or fitted blazer, a flat or heel, pearls or bolder pieces of jewelry—you can constantly change your look. And, most importantly, the shifts flatter almost every figure. Each style was designed with a different friend in mind."

Here are a few of my favorites from the collection.
